This is Katie´s story.

A long time ago, a sweet little puppy with "glasses" on came into my life. She´s cute right? She was crazy. I was crazy about her. She ran circles around my legs. Those little circles were just enough to make me want to bring her home. She became the center of attention. She was a pampered puppy which was both good and bad for all involved. I learned to teach her good manners. She taught me a thing or two about manners as well. She barks every morning to wake us up and remind us it´s a new and beautiful day.

Katie´s rule:

As the official taste tester for The Honeybark Bakery, all treat recipes must meet her standards or they will not be passed on to you. That´s serious quality assurance and she really takes her job to heart. Shelties are working dogs right?

The Honeybark Bakery

I started out baking to relax a bit. It just makes me happy. The only problem was the fact that Katie would not be able to share the joy of homebaked goodness. Chocolate was out of the question for her. What to do? The dog biscuits that she was getting had tons of additives and chemicals and preservatives. The lists of ingredients were long. I didn´t know what was in them and so I decided to make her something simple. I needed to make something that I knew had good quality ingredients. Well, I searched for recipes for dog treats and found some great ideas for healthy treats. I decided my new mission in life would be to make healthy treats that people would feel comforted to know were tasty and good for their dogs. Katie loves them and I´m happy to share my treats with you.
